Our History

Socora Homes is backed by Slawson Companies, a nationally known and respected business established in 1960 and a member of the Wichita Area Builders Association, National Homebuilders Associations and the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce.

Slawson co-developed northeast Wichita’s Tallgrass master-planned community in the 1980’s. This 600-acre development is noted for its upscale shopping, championship golf and carefully integrated commercial development. Slawson is responsible for numerous residential developments in west and east Wichita. They include Briarwood Lakes Estates, Brookhaven Estates, Evergreen, Mill Pond, Oak Cliff Estates, Pembrook, Socora Village, The Thickets, West Meadows and Woodbridge.
